The Mathematics Association of our Velammal College of Engineering and Technology is dedicated to promoting
mathematical awareness, analytical reasoning, and intellectual curiosity among students of all engineering
disciplines. Through a variety of events, including quizzes, problem-solving contests, and innovative competitions,
the Association provides opportunities for students to engage deeply with mathematical concepts beyond the classroom.
These activities are designed to enhance critical thinking, teamwork, and application-oriented learning,
helping students strengthen their academic foundation. By consistently organizing such enriching programmes,
the Mathematics Association plays a vital role in building a vibrant mathematical culture within the institution.
Under the Mathematics Association of Velammal College of Engineering and Technology, a wide range
of academic and skill-enhancing activities are organized to promote mathematical interest and
engagement among students. We conduct various events such as Quiz competitions, Fun-on-Maths
activities, Math Relay, Mathematical Modelling contests, and Sudoku competitions for all
B.E./B.Tech and MBA students, providing them with platforms to apply concepts creatively
and competitively. In addition to student-centered events, the Association also focuses
on professional development for faculty members by arranging special lectures and expert
sessions aimed at enriching their research knowledge and academic expertise. Through these
initiatives, the Mathematics Association continues to foster a vibrant learning environment
that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and continuous academic growth.
