About Placement Cell

Who We Are?

Velammal College of Engineering & Technology, Madurai, has an independent Training and Placement Cell established to cater to the needs of organizations by facilitating campus recruitment drives. The cell is headed by Mr. P. Srinivasaperumal, and is supported by a team of staff and student placement coordinators who lead representatives from various departments.

The Training and Placement Cell plays a vital role in counseling and guiding students toward successful career opportunities. It also coordinates various activities that enhance students’ employability and oversees their industrial training programs.

Placement Procedure

1. Companies are invited to the college for recruitment through the Training and Placement Cell by the Placement Officer.
2. The details of final-year students opting for placement are sent to the responding companies as per their requirements.
3. A convenient date is scheduled for the company to conduct the interview.
4. Upon confirmation from the company, a pre-placement talk is arranged on the specified date.
5. The company conducts its recruitment program on the VCET campus.
6. The selected candidates are informed of their recruitment status on the same day.
